Family LifeCare Celebrating 20th Anniversary(Berne, Indiana) – As part of our 20th anniversary celebration, Family LifeCare is pleased to join other area non-profit organizations in also celebrating the 20th anniversary of East of Chicago Pizza in Berne.  Owner Tony Mellencamp invited area non-profit organizations to celebrate by creating a press release
and placing collection containers at his East of Chicago Pizza restaurant and the Berne Chamber office.  Watch for his full page advertisement in The Berne Witness listing all the participants.  For details, contact Tony Mellencamp at East of Chicago Pizza at 260-589-8891.

Family LifeCare is celebrating 20 years of providing hope, comfort and dignity to patients, families, and caregivers in the communities we serve.  Each month, staff and volunteers are participating in fun activities relating to our 20th anniversary theme, The Roaring 20’s.  For example, we held a headband slinging contest.  Check us out on Facebook to see if you can identify our staff behind Roaring 20’s masks.  In keeping with our theme, our annual fundraiser is “Puttin’ on the Ritz! Join us for a Roaring 20s gala in celebration of Family LifeCare’s 20th anniversary!”  It will be held Saturday, September 23 at Lighted Gardens in Ossian.  We hope you can join us.

Community members are encouraged to place a donation to Family LifeCare in containers at East of Chicago Pizza and the Berne Chamber office.  Proceeds allow us to extend our services to those who are underinsured or have no insurance benefit, and to pay for advanced symptom management that is non-reimbursable by a third party payer.  With ongoing reductions to our Medicare reimbursement, donations are critical in meeting needs of our patients and their families.
Our mission is to bring hope, comfort and dignity along life’s journey.  We focus on enriching the lives of those that are affected by any chronic to life-limiting illness through compassionate care.  Whether caring for the youngest of patients or for our beloved seniors, Family LifeCare offers a spectrum of support programs including home health, hospice, palliative care, chronic care management, infusion therapy, Veteran recognition, grief support, and caregiving resources.
